We were founded in 1961 when late Mr Burjor Shroff inherited the membership of The Bombay Stock Exchange from his father Dhunjishah Shroff.
- The firm was run from 1961 onwards as a sole propriety firm “B D SHROFF”
- In 1981 Mr. Cyrus Shroff , son of Mr.Burjor Shroff joined the business.
- In 1987 Mrs. Cumi Shroff wife of Mr.Cyrus Shroff joined the business.
MANAGEMENT TEAM
Day-to-day operations are run by the two Designated Directors, Cyrus Shroff (DIN 00329859) and Cumi Shroff (DIN00329938) along with a team of dedicated staff, who have been with us since inception.
In 1992 the sole proprietor of B D SHROFF was converted into a partnership firm and registered with The Stock Exchange, Mumbai with the formal induction of Mr. Cyrus Shroff as a partner.
In 1997 the firm was corporatized into its current avatar “B D SHROFF SECURITIES PVT LTD”,as a Corporate Member of The Stock Exchange Mumbai as it was then known, with three Directors viz., Mr. Burjor Shroff as Chairman, Mr. Cyrus Shroff and Mrs. Cumi Shroff as Designated Directors.
In 2009 on the passing away of our Founder Mr. Burjor Shroff, The Company appointed Mr. Ramesh C Jagtiani a practicing Chartered Accountant as an additional Director. Mr Ramesh C Jagtiani has been in the Capital Markets since the 1980’s and is closely associated with the family.
There has been no change in the Board since the appointment of Mr. Ramesh C Jagtiani. Today the Company’s main focus is retail Clients in the Cash Segment of BSE Ltd, Fixed Deposit, Secondary Bonds mobilization and distribution of Mutual Funds.
